Online shop

Most online shops that struggle are let down by operations rather than design: orders retyped by hand into invoicing software, stock that disagrees with the warehouse, returns handled over email and a single way to pay. Each of those frictions costs hours every week, or sales you never see. Take a Bilbao coffee roaster trading from its café and online. Without shared stock, it sells a blend on the web that ran out at the counter that morning; if its invoices do not go through TicketBAI, it has a problem with the Basque tax authority. We build the shop starting from those operations.

Catalogue and product pages

Variants, attributes, filters, a typo-tolerant search and product pages with the details that prevent questions: dimensions, composition and delivery time.

Checkout

Guest checkout, invoices with a tax number for companies and sole traders, pick-up point selection on a map and only a few steps to payment.

Payments

Cards through Redsys or Stripe, Bizum, PayPal and instalments via seQura or Aplazame, with PSD2 strong authentication properly integrated.

Shipping and returns

Correos, SEUR, GLS, MRW or Nacex, directly or via Packlink, with automatic labels, tracking and customer-initiated returns.

Stock and invoicing

Links to a3ERP, Holded, Sage 50 or Odoo for orders and stock, and invoices issued from a system ready for Verifactu or TicketBAI.

VAT by type of sale

Consumers, businesses with a tax number, EU sales under the One-Stop Shop and shipments to the Canaries, Ceuta and Melilla, each configured separately.

Consumer law duties

Terms of sale, the fourteen-day withdrawal right, the previous price during sales and review disclosures, ready for legal review.

How the engagement unfolds, one stage at a time

Timing depends mostly on the integrations with your business software and carriers. So those links are tested before design is finished, not left until the end.

01

One order, end to end

Together we map the full life of a real order: purchase, payment, invoice, picking, shipping and return. Every step that is manual today gets flagged.

02

Connections first

Payment gateway, carriers and invoicing software are connected and tested on staging before the design is signed off, because they are what most often delays opening.

03

Store and catalogue

Product page, basket and checkout design, catalogue import from your ERP or spreadsheet, and legal pages prepared for your lawyer to review.

04

Supervised opening

Real test orders, public launch, then a daily check during the first weeks on failed payments, stock errors and picking times.

VAT on a Spanish web shop has more cases than people expect. Consumers on the mainland, businesses asking for an invoice with their tax number, buyers in Portugal or Italy under the One-Stop Shop scheme, and orders to the Canaries, Ceuta or Melilla that leave without VAT. If the shop does not tell these apart, invoices come out wrong and the fix arrives at quarter-end. We configure each case and test it with a sample order before launch, checked with your gestoría.

Common questions

In Spain, card and Bizum cover most shoppers; PayPal still matters to people who prefer not to share card details, and instalments via seQura or Aplazame help with larger baskets. Going beyond four or five options rarely adds sales but does complicate reconciliation.

Consumers have fourteen calendar days to withdraw without giving a reason, with exceptions such as personalised or perishable goods. The shop must say so before purchase and provide a withdrawal form. We set this up technically; your lawyer reviews the terms and which exceptions apply to your products.

Almost always. a3ERP, Holded, Sage 50, Odoo and most packages common in Spain offer connectors or an API. The first thing we check is whether your version is Verifactu-ready or, in the Basque Country, TicketBAI-ready, since that determines which system issues the invoice.

A store with a moderate catalogue and standard integrations opens within a few months. What stretches the timeline is connecting to old software and working with incomplete product data. Once we have reviewed your case, you get a phased calendar.

Your team does. Apply builds and maintains the shop remotely, while packing, customer service and the relationship with the carrier stay with you. We configure the admin so those tasks take as little time as possible.
