Bespoke software

Writing a program just for your company is worth it in a couple of cases: when your working method is your edge and no packaged product captures it, or when bending that product has become dearer than building. Otherwise, a proper set-up of Odoo, Holded or your existing ERP is cheaper, and you will hear that from us before any quote. When building does make sense, Apply takes care of the whole journey: analysis, prototype, development in two-week cycles, go-live and later evolution. Everything happens remotely, through video meetings and secured connections, for clients anywhere in Spain.

The code belongs to your company, and the contract says so. It assigns the exploitation rights in everything developed. Whenever a stage closes you get the up-to-date repository, docs and install instructions, so another supplier or your own staff could pick it up without asking anyone's permission. Open source libraries stay under their original licences and appear in a separate list. Before signing, ask your lawyer to check how far the assignment reaches.

How we work

Every two weeks there is something new to look at on a staging server your team logs into with its own accounts. If what comes out is not what you pictured, you notice within a fortnight, not on final delivery day.

First conversation

Half an hour on Teams or Meet to grasp what you want solved and whether it calls for development at all. If a packaged product will do, you hear it during that same call.

Analysis and prototype

Talking to the staff who run the process, written requirements, an integration diagram and clickable screens. Invoiced separately, and you keep the results whether or not we carry on together.

Development cycles

Two weeks, a demo, a sign-off. Between cycles the order of outstanding work can change without reopening the contract, as long as the overall volume holds.

Launch and ongoing care

Switch to production, training over video and close support for the first month. After that, if you wish, we stay on through a support contract with agreed response times.

Common questions

Often it is, and we would rather tell you early. If your business fits Odoo, Holded, a well-configured ERP or a standard CRM, setting it up is cheaper than writing code. Custom code earns its cost when your way of working is a competitive edge, or when reshaping a commercial package already costs more than starting fresh. The initial analysis is there to set those two figures against each other.

Once the analysis is complete. Any figure given before the process is understood is a gamble, not a quote. The analysis has a fixed fee, and you come away with requirements on paper, a timeline and a cost breakdown. From there we work in fixed-price stages, hourly at €75 per hour + VAT when priorities shift often, or with a dedicated team quoted on the profiles involved.

Yes. We begin with a code audit lasting a week or two: quality, existing tests, outdated libraries and documentation. The report separates what can be kept from what should be redone. What tends to be missing in these cases is not the code but the server passwords, repository access or the domain account; get those back first, and ask your lawyer to confirm what rights you hold over the program.

Everything. You receive the repository after every completed stage, rather than just once the project finishes, along with deployment scripts, architecture documentation and an inventory of external libraries. Hosting, app store and external service accounts are registered to your company from the outset, so no access ever depends on us.

Yes, remotely, just as with private firms. Procurement follows Spain's Public Sector Contracts Act (Law 9/2017), and bids go through the Public Sector Procurement Platform (PLACSP) or whichever contracting profile the notice specifies; tender questions go to tender@apply.es. Technically, we cater for the usual requirements: accessibility under Royal Decree 1112/2018, the ENS, interoperability and open formats, Cl@ve sign-in and invoicing through FACe.
