Networking and VoIP

In plenty of small firms the network is a cabinet nobody wants to open: the carrier's router, a switch added during a refurbishment, two access points picked up at a retail park and an admin password that vanished with the previous technician. Next to it sits a fifteen-year-old PBX that only its installer knows how to handle. Apply sorts all of this out from a distance. We connect to your equipment, map the network as it really is, keep a constant eye on it and move your telephony to the cloud. Anything needing hands in the cabinet is done by someone on your team or an installer of your choosing, with our engineer guiding them over video.

Who does what when we never come on site

The split is straightforward: anything done at a keyboard is ours, and anything needing hands falls to someone at your company or a local installer. Each side knows its task and its deadline.

01

First access

Armed with a one-page guide, any employee can install an agent and enable encrypted access in a quarter of an hour. After that, inventory and configuration reading are our job.

02

Design and shopping list

We propose how to split the network: admin, reception, guests, cameras, card terminals and printers. If equipment is missing, you get models and licences to order from your usual supplier.

03

Guided physical work

Your installer receives the port table showing which cable goes where and in what sequence. On changeover day we join by video call, watching the cabinet through their phone camera.

04

Testing and handover

We load the configuration, test each network from an employee's computer and hand over the diagram and credentials in a password manager. Monitoring starts that same day.

The router password should not live on a sticky note. In far too many offices the admin login is written on a label stuck to the device itself, or known only to whoever installed it. At the end of every job we store all network credentials in a company password manager, accessible to the people you choose.

How much connection backup your business needs

Without internet, a surgery cannot issue e-prescriptions and a pharmacy cannot dispense them, a shop cannot take card payments, and a gestoría cannot file returns through the tax agency's online portal. We pick the backup level by doing the sums with you: what each offline hour loses you against what a second line costs.

Up to a day offline A single line, no fallback Very small teams able to tether to a mobile
Around 20 minutes 4G or 5G router switched on by hand Practices and gestorías running cloud software
A few seconds Automatic switch to a second carrier Clinics, shops with card terminals, customer service
No noticeable break Two fixed lines plus 5G standby Factories, warehouses on a WMS, branch networks

Backup needs electricity too. A second 5G line is little use if the router, fibre ONT and switch all go dark at the first power cut. A small UPS for the comms cabinet, bought by you and connected by your electrician, keeps the network alive long enough for the firewall to change lines and calls to carry on. We set it up so the UPS raises an alert as soon as it switches to battery.

Common questions

Yes, that is typical for an SME. We ask one trusted person, say the office administrator or the site supervisor, to follow our directions on a video call: open the cabinet, point a mobile at it, install a program in two clicks. Everything technical stays on our side. If a job goes beyond that, we spell out exactly what to ask a nearby electrician or installer for.

Yes, through a VPN between the firewalls at each site. The warehouse printer becomes reachable from the office and the server behaves identically in both places. We also define who can reach what, so the warehouse cannot get into the accounts and the office cannot browse the cameras. It is all configured remotely, provided the existing kit supports it.

Yes. We are not a carrier and sell no lines, so we work with whichever one you have, whether Movistar, Vodafone, Orange, Digi or a regional provider. When needed, we deal with them on your behalf about a static IP, bridge mode on the router or faults on the line.

You do, from any supplier you like and in your company's name. Apply neither sells, ships nor installs equipment. What you get from us is a written spec naming suitable models and any licensing, while the hardware and its warranty remain yours. As no commission comes our way, there is nothing tempting us to push the most expensive choice.

Yes. The security measures in Spain's National Security Framework (ENS), and NIS2 as well, cover asset inventory, perimeter protection and network segregation. When an auditor, insurer or major customer raises the subject, being able to show your VLANs, diagram and firewall logs changes the conversation considerably. If you supply public bodies, we help prepare the network side for ENS certification; whether your company falls within NIS2 scope is for your legal adviser to confirm.
