Retail and e-commerce

No shopper is going to email you to say a product page takes eight seconds to load, or that Bizum has vanished from checkout. They simply leave and spend their money with a competitor, and the only trace is a sales graph drifting lower. Online, a fault shows up as abandoned baskets rather than hours offline. We tie storefront, marketplace listings, checkout, carriers and bookkeeping to a common data set, and keep it all standing from the first day of the sales to the last. Everything is handled remotely, with no visits to your warehouse or store.

What we set up

Six components that determine whether a purchase gets from the basket to a packed parcel with nobody intervening. In a physical shop, the till system and card reader are fitted by the vendor or arranged via your bank. We take the software, the data flows and the daily running, all at a distance.

The shop itself

PrestaShop, WooCommerce, Shopify or Magento. We keep modules and theme current, time the pages that actually earn money, hold backups that can be restored and hunt through the purchase journey for the steps where people drop out. Accessibility is part of it too: keyboard navigation, contrast and form labels, with Spain's Law 11/2023 in mind.

Marketplaces

Amazon.es, El Corte Inglés, PcComponentes, Carrefour, Miravia or Fnac, connected through a feed manager such as Channable or Lengow, or directly by API. Every listing is generated from one master product entry, incoming orders land in one inbox, and a sold item is deducted from stock on every channel at once.

Taking payment

A Redsys virtual POS through your bank, Bizum, PayPal, Stripe or Adyen, and instalments via seQura or Aplazame when your average order value warrants it. We set up the gateway and test SCA, refunds and payment notifications, so an order that has been paid does not sit at “awaiting payment” for an entire weekend.

Deliveries and returns

A map of Correos branches and parcel lockers at checkout, SEUR, GLS, MRW or Correos Express labels generated automatically, tracking emailed to the buyer and a self-service returns page that spares everyone an email exchange with customer service.

Invoices and bookkeeping

Invoices issued from the order by Verifactu-compliant software, or TicketBAI if you trade from the Basque Country; in-store receipts gathered in the same place, and marketplace revenue exported into Holded, a3innuva, Sage 50, ContaSol or Odoo. Your gestoría gets a complete set every month without anyone exporting spreadsheets by hand.

Shoppers' data

Opt-ins for marketing are logged, the cookie notice matches AEPD guidance, each tool with access to customer records has a signed processor contract, and administrator logins require MFA. An erasure request from a shopper is then handled in minutes instead of days.

When sales grind to a halt

Four everyday situations in any online shop. Preventing them is almost always cheaper than a single poor day of takings.

Black Friday The site falls over mid-campaign Avoided with load testing and extra capacity booked early
Overselling A product sold to two buyers Avoided with a single stock record instead of spreadsheets passed around
Minutes Payment fails to go through Avoided by monitoring every checkout step, the gateway too
Reputation A breach exposes customers Avoided with prompt updates, a WAF and fewer admin-level logins

Your November results are decided in September. The load test, a pause on major releases and an agreed contact rota must be in place before Black Friday campaigns start. The same goes for the January and July sales in Spain, which fall on fixed dates yet still catch shops out every year. Take a PrestaShop store selling children's clothing in Valencia: the campaign calendar gets agreed several weeks ahead, leaving nothing about the busiest week to chance.

Common questions

A feed manager moves orders perfectly well as long as someone configures it and keeps an eye on it. We write the rules, match categories and order states, set up invoicing, and check each morning that the link to a marketplace is still authenticated after the night. Where a requirement goes beyond what the available connectors allow, we build the integration ourselves.

Where your customers are private individuals, most likely. Law 11/2023 transposes the European Accessibility Act, though it allows exceptions, for micro-enterprises for example, which an adviser should confirm for you. Obligations include operating the site by keyboard, adequate contrast, image descriptions and a checkout usable to the final click, which in practice means the WCAG 2.1 AA level. Our first step is an audit of search, product pages and payment; after that we correct the template while leaving the store itself intact.

For many brands, yes, on one strict condition: stock and orders must sync automatically. Otherwise you end up selling what you no longer have, and cancellations count against you on the platform. We normally start with one channel and part of the range, then widen the scope when things run smoothly.

Your till software vendor and your bank, since the bank holds the card acceptance contract with you. We make sure the shop network is ready, set up the retail application and send sales tickets and stock movements to the correct systems. We do not come to the premises, but we are online on launch day.

Yes, if you have 24/7 IT support or are on Premium. Those are precisely your busiest trading days, which makes a failure then the most expensive. We can write reinforced cover into the agreement for chosen dates: Black Friday, Cyber Monday, the week before Christmas or the eve of Epiphany, when Spanish shoppers buy their Reyes gifts.

Yes, provided the redirect map is ready before the switch, URLs of product pages that attract traffic are kept, and tags are checked one by one. We build the new shop in parallel, migrate products, customers and order history, then track rankings for the weeks that follow. For instance, an outdoor gear retailer moving from WooCommerce to PrestaShop could make the change on an ordinary weekday in February, far from any sales period.
