Digital strategy

Take a components maker in Valladolid with sixty staff. It wants a second warehouse near Guadalajara, online sales into Portugal and a way out of an ERP nobody updates any more. Meanwhile its accountant warns that the invoicing software must comply with Verifactu, and a major customer has sent over a cybersecurity questionnaire. Every one of these arrives from a different direction and pulls on the same budget. A digital strategy lines them up: what happens this year, what waits until next, what gets dropped, each with a figure and a written reason.

What falls within the scope of this service

We start from how the company makes money and where it is heading. Products and platforms are picked last, once the problem they must solve is clear.

Pin down the details with one of our engineers

What is really there

Applications, licences, supplier contracts, integrations and, above all, every spot where somebody rekeys data between programs. Built up from interviews and remote review of configurations.

What each team says

Accounts, warehouse, sales and production tell us what wastes their time week after week. Their list seldom matches the one the IT lead carries around.

Spend that no longer pays

Microsoft 365 seats, SaaS subscriptions, cloud consumption, contractor hours. We sort what produces results from what is still paid out of habit.

Regulatory calendar

Verifactu and the invoicing systems regulation, B2B e-invoicing under the Crea y Crece law, GDPR and the processing register, whether NIS2 may reach your sector and, for public sector suppliers, ENS requirements.

Reasoned priorities

Each project gets a rating for payoff, expense and exposure, and the document states why it sits where it does in the sequence.

Public grants, carefully

Should Kit Digital or Kit Consulting from Red.es be on your radar, the plan clarifies what you would actually request. Those grants run through registered agents and advisers; Apply is not one of them and does not handle subsidies.

Roadmap and presentation

A one-to-three-year document in phases, each carrying its cost and a go or no-go moment, worded so the board can decide without a translator in the room.

How the engagement unfolds, one stage at a time

We agree the length of the engagement before starting; it scales with headcount and how many teams are involved. Every session takes place on Teams or Google Meet.

01

Learn the business

How revenue comes in, which plans the owners have for the coming couple of years and what currently holds growth back. Technology is kept in the background on purpose.

02

Gather evidence

Systems review, an inventory of licences and contracts, and a private conversation with every department head.

03

Weigh it up

Frustrations reported by staff are compared with what the systems actually do, and we estimate the gain from each change and the price of doing nothing.

04

Present and refine

A session with the directors, discussion, then amendments. The final version is a working document rather than a brochure.

Most firms are paying for technology nobody touches. Microsoft 365 accounts for people who left months ago, two project tools duplicating each other across adjoining teams, an ERP module paid for “for later” that was never activated. Clawing that back often funds phase one of the roadmap with no extra budget at all.

Common questions

A smaller firm simply gets a thinner document. The decisions are identical in kind: purchases, sequence, cost. For a company of twenty the usual topics are picking or replacing business software, putting Microsoft 365 in order and preparing invoicing for Verifactu.

Every department head, plus the person holding the budget. Write a roadmap with only your IT contact and it may be correct on paper yet blind to how the company earns its living.

No. Apply is neither a registered digitalisation agent nor a registered digital adviser, so we cannot process those grants or promise you will receive one. If they interest you, read the current rules on the Red.es website. What our plan does is let you walk into that conversation knowing what you need.

Yes, if the evidence points there, even when the root problem is process or organisation and no software is to blame. Hearing it early is cheaper than buying a product that leaves the underlying issue untouched.

Not at all. The roadmap is yours to deliver with your current provider, your own staff or us. Estimates use market prices, not our rate card. Our own time is billed at €75 per hour + VAT or as a fixed fee.

Ask for a costed systems roadmap

Say which concern comes first for you: spending, speed of change or exposure to risk. We reply with a suggested approach and a realistic timescale.
